【Product Introduction】

YC series self-hardening furan resin is an environmentally friendly casting adhesive used to make sand molds (cores). Different types of furan resin can be used to cast various metals, such as cast steel, cast iron, and cast non-ferrous metals. Its appearance is light yellow to reddish brown transparent liquid.

YC series self-hardening furan resin has the following advantages:

1. Low viscosity

The resin has low viscosity, easy to mix with sand, and the sand has good fluidity.

2. High strength, saving production cost

The resin has high strength, which can reduce the amount of resin added by 10%-20%, reducing production costs.

3. Fast curing speed

The resin has a fast curing speed, which can shorten the production cycle and improve production efficiency.

4. Green and environmental protection

 The amount of air generated during sand mixing is low, and the free formaldehyde can be controlled below 0.1%, which is lower than that of ordinary resin. The amount of resin added is lower than that of ordinary resin, so the pollution to the environment and workers' workplace is greatly reduced.

5. Stable quality and performance

The resin is synthesized by a brand-new process to ensure high and stable resin quality.

6. It can improve the quality and yield of castings

Reducing the amount of resin added will reduce the amount of core outgassing, which is beneficial to reduce or eliminate casting pore defects; due to the fast curing speed, the amount of curing agent added is correspondingly reduced, which can reduce the defects of sulphurization and spheroidization on the surface of the casting.

7. High recovery rate of used sand

The recovery rate of used sand is as high as 97%.

8. Good collapsibility

The collapsibility is better than other ordinary resins.

9. Good high temperature performance

Good high temperature performance, few casting defects, accurate casting size.

10. No need to add silane when molding core

Under any conditions, there is no need to add silane to meet the production needs and simplify the operation of workers.

【Instructions】


1. The ratio of core sand

Sand 100

Resin 0.6%-1.5% (accounting for sand weight)

Curing agent 30%-70% (accounting for resin weight)

Use a continuous sand mixer or intermittent sand mixer to mix the raw sand and the curing agent first, and then add the resin for mixing. Under normal circumstances, the sand mixing time is 5-60 seconds. After the mixture is prepared, please shape the core immediately.


2. Selection of resin addition

Since the raw sand shape, particle size, mud content and other indicators used by the manufacturers are quite different, the weight and complexity of the shape and core are different, the amount of resin added should meet the production needs as a principle, and the strength should meet the production requirements. Try to minimize the amount of resin added.

3. Control of demoulding time

The demolding time can be adjusted within 10 to 90 minutes, usually 15 to 40 minutes. The demolding time should be judged carefully. Premature demolding will cause sticking and even damage the sand mold, core or collapsed box; demolding too late will be difficult to demold and even damage the mold, core or model.


4. Curing speed control

To speed up the curing speed, increase the amount of curing agent added (do not exceed 70% of the resin added amount) or replace the curing agent with a faster curing speed. To reduce the curing speed, reduce the amount of curing agent added (not less than 30% of the resin added amount) or replace the curing agent with a slow curing speed.


【Safety Precautions】

1. In the absence of a sufficient amount of raw sand, a strong chemical reaction will occur when the resin is mixed with acid. The resin and curing agent should be stored separately. It is strictly forbidden to mix resin and curing agent directly.

2. Wear safety protective equipment when contacting any chemicals. Wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection when contacting and using this furan resin adhesive.

3. Furan resin should be stored in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight.

Packed in plastic drums or iron drums with a net weight of 230 or 240 kg, and packed in drums with a net weight of 1000 kg or 1100 kg, or according to customer requirements.
